Studying literature isn’t just academic. Though I have studied and taught in many institutions, I know as a poet that the creation of poetry taps me into a greater mystery.
I wanted to create a space where adults can continue learning beyond their last school literature class. Where we can engage with stories and poems while reflecting on and enriching our life experience. We need more spaces of kindness, where every part of the human experience is allowed — the grief, joy, confusion, surprise, wonder, questions.
Here, I teach reading and writing poetry as a practice of full body, heart, and mind awareness. LitCenter is a supportive and kind place where you can learn, experiment with artful expression, connect with others, and reflect on life for more awareness, growth, healing, and aliveness.

I also work with organizations to offer workshops and retreats in reading poetry or creative writing as grief work, healing, connection, meditation, and life reflection.
